So last night I check the torrents directory and there is NOTHING there. I just checked and I have files in there now. I also checked the Transmission Torrent directory yesterday (friday night first time i had time to really look), and it was empty !! No downloads were pending all torrents were completed at the time of database loss. I also checked the wiki and have trolled through the user (me) /library files. I found this thread (and another similar) that lists the files. I have tons of work to do, and would like the quick and easy restart fix to work, no doubt. Option B means adding by hand - download torrent files again (in some cases this means individually) then add, then verify data after locating correct location (one of two disks? since last may when I ran out of space). Restart Transmission, and theoretically all missing torrents will appear. I would like to be able to restore the correct files to the correct directories, after making a safe copy of existing files (just in case), Torrents from months ago (guessing last May and earlier) are all there, seeding fine. Rebooted, and all disks came up fine, and have been fine since. I did a clean shutdown of Transmission and then rebooted. I started Transmission and very many (over 1000) torrents are no longer present. One of my external disks that seed transmission mounted read only on the reboot (suspect timing issue). I did a clean shutdown of transmission prior to reboot. Torrents are seeded from multiple disks (maybe 4 or 5). I have had no problems up until just recently (once one went into read only - googled timing issue - disabled sleep on disks - many months ago). I have nine external disks on this macbook pro, all Lacie (Western Dig gave me some serious heartache a few years ago).
